STRANGER, A FRIEND

Life like a river was flowing by
Tranquil simply , busy in myself, my world
Not conscious of who came along
Nor craved the company of any

Stranger like you came by
Made friends with my loneliness
I shimmered ,twinkled danced away
You sat by me and smiled away

When it was time for you to leave
An emptiness filled my soul
Your company it was that made me sway
I then quietly continued to flow

Ek ajnabi se tum chalei aayei

Jab chalne ko tum huyei taiyaar
Ek khamoshi ne mujhei bhi gher liya
